Congratulations to our DeLeT MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) cohort who just gathered online with colleagues, DeLeT alumni, and stakeholders from partner schools to celebrate and learn in our fourth annual Research Colloquium, featuring presentations on the following topics:

• Margo Pellmar: Embodying Values: Fostering Intrinsic Motivation and Meaningful Learning in the Elementary Classroom
• Justin Shapiro: "Will I get a sticker for this?": Exploring How to Foster an Intrinsically Motivated Kindergarten Classroom Community
• Laura Zazueta: Sustainable Professional Learning: Enhancing Teacher Development Through PLCs

It was a wonderful way to wrap up a year of learning together, and we look forward to celebrating their graduation in Los Angeles.

Last week, Cohort 23 got to visit four of our partner schools in action - Emek Hebrew Academy Teichman Family Torah Center, Heschel, Brawerman Elementary School and Pressman Academy! We loved having our current residents show us around and got to see so many of our alumni who work at each school. Our school visits are always a highlight of the DeLeT year, and we thank all of our school partners for graciously welcoming us to your campuses!

Yesterday, as part of Cohort 23's Day School and Society course, our current DeLeT residents met in the Bay Area to visit one of our partner schools, Contra Costa Jewish Day School, where they got to see one of their peers in action and learn more about their school culture. After a wonderful morning in Lafayette, the group got to observe and tour OHDS in Oakland - thank you for hosting our first DeLeT visit! We can't wait to visit our Los Angeles partner schools next week - Heschel Day School, Emek Hebrew Academy Teichman Family Torah Center, Brawerman Elementary School and Pressman Academy!

We are so proud of our 7 newest alumni of DeLeT at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion! This morning we joined together with friends, family, colleagues, and Cohort 23 to celebrate their accomplishments as they continue their teaching journeys. Mazel tov! 🥳 🎉

We’ve just wrapped up 3 weeks of DeLeT summer here at , with just 1 week left of classes for the semester. We have loved getting to know Cohort 23 cannot wait to celebrate the accomplishments of Cohort 22! Shabbat Shalom from DeLeT!
