Consortium member, Prof. Wendy Cheng is offering a new Asian American Studies class this fall 2026. AMST 378 takes a global and transpacific approach to understanding the history of Asian immigration to the U.S. and how Asian Americans have participated in shaping what it means to be American. Through exploring a variety of materials including local archives, museum exhibits, art, novels, and films, students will learn how to do historical research and complete an independent project on a topic of their choice.
