Making Jack O Lanterns and then we drove our “pumpkins” on our “wagon.” Why? Well, We visited and learned Calabasas, California is named after the Spanish word calabaza, which means “pumpkin.” A local legend says that explorer Juan Bautista de Anza’s wagon overturned in the area, spilling pumpkins, which grew wild in the area for years. A few months later, the area saw its first pumpkin patch!

We are making lift mechanisms. When this student finished her build I challenged her to make it better and she turned it into a playground/water slide instead if just an elevator. You go girl!
