We can't stress this enough! No one became successful without tasting failure first. If over the past year you've experienced some setbacks now is the time to let it go. We all went through so much in 2020, but we have so much to look forward to. Whatever is happening in your life right now, take this is as a sign to dust yourself off and try again 🙌

Who here has felt this way before?! Six out of 10 executive women say they've felt (via Forbes) when taking on a new role or promotion, making it more common than you think, even among highly successful women. Imposter syndrome can make us question our own accomplishments and abilities, attributing our success to "luck", rather than work ethic and intelligence. But it doesn't have to be this way. Here are three tips for dealing with imposter syndrome:

1. Take note of your accomplishments! Writing out your qualifications can remind you how incredible and qualified you really are. 🗒

2. Stop comparing yourself to others, especially on social media. IG and LinkedIn have curated feeds of accomplishments. You don't need to get a promotion EVERY DAY to be successful. 😎

3. Flip the script! True imposters aren't taking time to self-reflect and wonder if they're good enough. Your instinct to look inward and evaluate yourself for improvement means you're not attempting to fool anyone and instead are reaping the rewards of a job well done! 💁‍♀️

What's one piece of career advice nearly ALL the experts agree on? Find a mentor! 💁‍♀️ Seriously, connecting with a mentor early on in your career can pay dividends later. However, a lot of college grads aren't thinking about "mentorship" while cramming for finals and hunting in a tough market. We get it. But, it turns out, having a can help connect you with the right person at the right company, improve your resume, offer general career advice, be a sounding board if you face a tough situation at work, help guide you to your next promotion or offer ways to switch careers mid-game. So, if you haven't thought about a mentor, get on it! And if you need help on where to start, reach out. (We're kind of experts in that field 😊 )
