God for Kids app is a free, Bible-based app for kids to discover who is God & what is God like Our resources are aimed at 4-10 year olds. The app is 100% free.
God for Kids app is a part of the charity Ruach Resources, founded in 2021 by writer and mum of 3, Joanne Gilchrist. We exist to share the goodness of God with the next generation by creating resources that nurture faith in children and encourage conversation about the character and nature of God, as revealed in the Bible. 10 years ago, on Pancake Day 2016, God for Kids app launched on the App Store.
Happy Pancake Day everyone!
A few highlights from … it was my honour to hand out awards to incredible people. The testimony stand was FILLED With incredible testimonies by the end (but I forgot@to take a photo!). I finally had chance to visit the prayer room and pray. And finally, Roar the Lion was the clear winner of the poll with 52 of the 109 votes! This marks a significant moment for me as it’s the end of Ruach Resources and the start of something new with Scripture Union - the Kingdom Builders holiday club resource (written by .gilchrist) was delivered in perfect time for the start of the conference! Incredible!

For the best of reasons, our lovely little charity, Ruach Resources is closing.
The reason being, Joanne (that’s me, the found, director and writer) am now working for Scripture Union. Any future God for Kids resources (and a bunch of other resources that I’m working on) will be published by Scripture Union England and Wales.
I told you it was a good reason!
(My new boss is a huge fan of our resources and has already agreed to support the school prayer club that I run on Friday mornings. I’m currently working on a prayer club pack so you can start your own school prayer club…! Very exciting!)
This means our online shop is also closing.
We are giving away or selling all our current stock as cheaply as we can.
We have a limited amount of stock left and once it’s gone, it’s gone. At the risk of alerting your SPAM filter, you won’t get our books cheaper ever again.
If you’re coming to Hand in Hand conference on 6-8th February, you can collect items there to save on postage. We will be selling off all remaining stock there.
So, on 4th February, 11:00pm UK Time, our lovely online shop will go offline permanently. Any remaining books will be donated to local schools - maybe you’d like to grab a set now to donate to your local school? It would be cool to try to leave as long a trail behind as possible! (My books go down very well with KS1 primary schools).
NB: God for Kids app will continue as normal with no changes that you’d notice
