At Golden Eagle we know summer camp can feel expensive and out of reach for many families — especially in the Bay Area — which is why Golden Eagle offers income-based scholarships for families earning up to $210,000 per year.

That includes many middle-income families who don’t typically think of themselves as “scholarship eligible.”

Support ranges from 10% to 100% off tuition, depending on household income and size.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nelson Lodge, founder of Golden Eagle Summer Sports Camp. He passed peacefully at home at the age of 87.

A dedicated educator and coach, Nelson provided countless young athletes with opportunities to develop their skills and passion for sports and set in motion the beloved family run camp that continues to serve children in our community 40 years later.

His legacy continues through the many lives he touched and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his children Anneliese, Kristoph, Stefaan, and Erika
