Our 3rd graders in Diana Cowie’s class at Santa Rita rolled up their sleeves and dove into the world of printmaking this week! 🎨✨
Students explored the exciting process of creating prints—designing their own images, inking plates, and discovering the magic of repeating patterns. Each print was a surprise reveal, and the classroom was full of creativity, color, and big smiles.
We loved seeing students experiment, problem-solve, and celebrate their unique artistic voices. Printmaking showed them that art is not just about the final piece, but the joyful process of trying, learning, and creating together! 🖌️🧡

These creative 2nd graders created a class mural with paints they mixed to match their skin tone. Afterwards, they decided to paint rainbows and penguins 🐧. It’s so fun to see these creatures in colors other than black and white.
