Our summer programs are in full swing, and creativity is flowing in the design studios.

Young designers are sketching, building, sewing, prototyping, and bringing their ideas to life — developing creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills along the way.

Summer is for discovery and hands-on experiences. Creating something useful - like these bookends - is not only fulfilling, but a daily reminder of all you can accomplish!

A powerful reminder that creativity may begin with an idea, but it grows through encouragement, guidance, and people who believe in us along the way. Proud of this young designer and the dress she brought to life with the help of her teacher at DesignX.

The dress is beautiful, but the confidence, perseverance, and gratitude developed along the way may be the most meaningful outcome of all.

What can you do this summer to encourage sustainability?

Thank you to our partners and for helping us be the drivers of change — collecting over 100 lbs of denim from the local community to be used in our summer design studios. And to all the families who donated the denim. It take a village.

When challenged to design something that had her think about the human ability to smell, Nico (9) knew exactly what she would make.
