Athena Camps is the Bay Area’s leading girl-powered summer day camp. During her week at camp, girls from kindergarten to 8th grade build community, confidence and creativity through the unique combination of sports, art themes and mentorship. This summer, Athena Camps’ coaches lead campers in celebrating friendship, discovering her inner beauty and dreaming big.

That stat stopped us in our tracks and it’s exactly why Circles are one of the most important things we do at Athena Camps every single day.

Circles are a space where every girl gets to speak her truth, use her voice, and practice sharing her thoughts in front of others. Building that confidence is deeply intentional work. And it’s at the heart of everything we do each summer!

At the end of every camp week, we asked parents to share what they observed in their daughters. Here is what the 2026 families told us:

82% saw their daughter growing in confidence
85% said their daughter felt like she belonged to a community

Today was our last day of San Jose Athena Camps and thus the end of our 2026 season…And what a season it was! Thank you to everyone who joined us - we loved watching your girls learn new sports, take on new challenges, make new friends, laugh, excel, and grow. We’re already excited for next year!
