Pinewood School heads to Stanford’s d. School to collaborate with the creator of Fables & Futures Ariam Mogos on building relevant, relatable, and empathetic ways to teach digital citizenship to upper elementary students. Fables and Futures leverages the graphic novel storytelling format to help children think critically about the ways technology is shaping their lives, includes creative and reflective activities, and also offers GameBender so students can create mini games featuring their favorite characters from Massa Mist. Congratulations to Aaron X., a Pinewood senior who co-captained his Los Altos Community Botball team to 1st place in the Botball Global Conference... for the second year in a row! 👏

Aaron attributes the team's success to the dedication of his teammates, coaching staff, and families: "It shows me that, as a community, we're really strong and we can accomplish a lot."

In addition to his leadership at LACT, Aaron is also deeply involved in the Pinewood robotics program, mentoring students on our junior high botball team. We invite all Upper School students to learn more about Pinewood robotics at tomorrow's Community Fair!

At Upper School, middle and high school Panthers divided into one of four Houses and compete once a week in mini competitions. Though the spirit of mock rivalry fills the gym, we also love witnessing how Panthers are ENGAGED and lifting each other up through it all.
