* I learned I am very passionate about game development which includes coding, not just the artistic part.

* A skill I developed: Artistic skill, Creative skill, and Perseverance skill.

* I know that a career in game or software development will satisfy what I learn in college and my passions.

* About my passions, I learned to better recognize them if I found it easy to work for long periods of time without getting tired, like when I was researching and analyzing data alongside statistics of the residential housing market economy.

*I learned: How to better manage my time, to understand to take extra time outside of the required expeditions rounds to finish loose ends, evaluate necessary changes based on challenges like resource expenses, and learn more on the current state of a residential housing market economy.

* Something surprising: I found that it was incredibly simple for me to do research and take notes on data and statistics for residential housing regardless of the fact that I didn’t have any prior knowledge of the topic at all.

We at Passion Coaching LLC had a wonderful time at The Teen Wellness Retreat, presented by the City of San Carlos and City of Belmont CA. Special shout out to Emma Licko! Thanks for all your support!

We hosted a FREE Passion Roots workshop and all the youth shared their amazingly diverse and unique passions!

And! We really enjoyed stamping all the youths' bingo cards and asking them to tell us one of their passions first!

Take a sneak peek at some of the Passion Challenges our high schoolers did this school year as part of our Passion Project class across two high schools!

We coach high schoolers to explore their passions in ways that reveal their talents and what they are motivated to do that go above and beyond academic expectations. Students perform like adults who have the motivation, skills, and creativity to create beautiful products that people in the real world value.

Here are four Passion Challenges completed by students this year that showcase their talents, passions, personal experiences, and personal values:

(1) a video game that takes place in the student’s actual high school with his actual friend as the video game and characters.

(2) a fully designed hat manufactured in China and shipped to the US for sale to other high school students.

(3) a phone repair service and a how to guide for fixing broken screens and other parts of modern cell phones.

(4) a tattoo service emphasizing Chicana lettering and Latin culture.

FREE PASSION FINDER WORKSHOP - High Schoolers work so hard at succeeding they often don't find their passions and interests.

This creates a Passion Vacuum, feelings of emptiness and meaninglessness. Passion not only helps high schoolers think about what they want to succeed at in college and career, it also creates purpose and meaning, two of the strongest protective factors against negative mental health.

Last Friday, we had the opportunity to speak to 300+ sophomores at a student-led assembly at Palo Alto High School—and what they asked for might surprise you!

They didn’t want a checklist on how to pick a college major.

They wanted something deeper.

They wanted to understand:
✨ Who they are
✨ What gives them purpose
✨ How their interests can actually turn into real futures

So that’s exactly what we focused on!

Through our Passion Challenge (PC) Method, students learned how to take action—not just reflect.

Here’s what they walked away with:

1️⃣ How to identify which passions and interests give them the most purpose and meaning
2️⃣ How to create “hard fun” skill-based goals (their own Passion Challenges)
3️⃣ How to adapt those challenges based on what feels most meaningful
4️⃣ How to connect their passions to college majors and career pathways

This wasn’t about choosing a path.
It was about building one.
