Foothill College Pass the Torch

05/05/2026

On April 23rd, we gathered to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Jean Thomas at the Building Dedication and Renaming Ceremony. It was incredible seeing students, faculty, and community members come together to honor the vision that started it all—from enjoying the live music by Basma Endress and Amelia Romana to being deeply moved by D’dra’s powerful spoken word.

Thirty years later, Pass the Torch lives on in every student who dares to believe in their own potential.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring her extraordinary legacy!
