Your Emotions Can Betray You. Discipline Never Does.

Build a daily routine and hold yourself or others (a team) accountable. That’s what my coaches do. I’m grateful to them.

Too many men out there these days just going on how they feel.

My friends tell me “going with how I feel” or “my body says this”.

Well, that sentiment and lack of a plan - led me to Man B***s aka BitchTits, (yes, I was toxic) Diabetes, and 5 Heart Attacks.

Emotions are there to process and disseminate. For us men, doing the hard, the difficult, the terrifying is where we thrive. It doesn’t have to even be physical 🧪. Just remain locked into the mission and purpose in life. Setting goals and going after them. Otherwise, what good are we to society?

How are we contributing?

We should process the emotions, ask where do they come from, and lastly ask “how will I feel and how will the pending action better my life and those around me?”

I’ve found, I’m no good to anyone without progress. I take out my frustration of stagnation on others b/c my “soul cup” of self love is depleted. So to combat this, twice I week I aim to isolate and reflect.

Yeah, I’m still mostly a spoon fed selfish Joffrey entitled little prick, but with added awareness hopefully not today.

Hopefully, I can stack a few of the good days up and they turn into my character.

At YogaXL, we believe the human mind is full of fallibility , thus we tend to overestimate what we can do in one year and underestimate what we can do with a daily routine. Without guarded repetition - failure & misery is guaranteed. 😢

My two new favorite words now are “Bale Coach”. This man treats me like a little prison bitch. He’s my Micky (from Rocky). He doesn’t feed any validation. I don’t need it. I make my f&cking reps count. Every single one. And I breathe. I 🧘🏽‍♂️ meditate with the iron. Lastly, I can protect this routine. After 5 Heart Attack - it’s a non-negotiable especially to myself.

As a man, I’m not so much for selfies (anymore). That external validation s**t is all fake. The likes, comments, shares don’t come to close to respecting my personal routine. So my intention here with this intimate share is hopefully this can be of value to at least one person out there. Obesity sucks. Diabetes will leave you amputated.

💯 Real talk - No one is responsible for you health but you. No one else will ever respect your time they way you will. Get out the rut, not b/c you’re a little whiny bitch deep down, but because you love yourself and want to enjoy the best of life has to offer. And to those who are parents, please do your own research on “Social Reproduction”. Your kids will mirror you later in life. Step up - avoid burnout and stay balanced. 4-5 days a week is enough. Just do something. Just ask for help. We’ve been there. (I’m still a fat kid who loves flan 🍮 &tacos 🌮) We got you.

May not sound like it today, but We spread love and support b/c we know every excuse out there. It’s the reason I was obese at age 7. I just became good friends with darkness, isolation, and despair. Then I got help. Thank you to everyone - so many out there!

What’s the most important thing about Weight Loss and starting a “Healing & Healthy Transformation?”

To begin with a place of love ❤️ .

Not fear and hate for ourselves or our bodies. If that’s what body positivity is, then great. Other than that there is nothing positive about depression, hypertension, pre-diabetes/diabetes, and heart disease. (All of which are close personal friends)

The hardest part for me was to “Ask For Help.”

Yoga XL is here, I’m here, our team, and our company are the most passionate people on the planet when it’s comes to empathy, love, and support. The burpees, push-ups, and DownDogs are the easy part.

💔Five years ago doctors gave me just 6 months to live without undergoing emergency 🚨 open heart ❤️ surgery.

😞I had suffered a massive Myocardial Infarction (Troponin levels were 50x normal readings)

“How bad was it doc?” I asked.

“Dude, your heart was dragged into a dark alley, and brutally beaten by 10 armed guys!!!” 😳

“I have no idea 🤷 how you’re still here” he said with a shocked expression. 😱

😢Wiping tears from eyes in front of a dozen medical staff members, part of me thought I was already dead.

Game Over - Finuto - Ya Se Cabo.

First and foremost, I am very grateful to the beautiful medical staff members who have blessed me w/ another opportunity to be a , to be , to be honest, to be gentle, caring, and .

I have such a long way to go emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, etc. Day by day, I aim to serve those who have ever dealt with .

This is my path, my yellow brick road. Now I know why I spent my life as a fat kid, why I endured the harsh reality of being ridiculed due to the shape of my body. It’s ok. It toughened me.

Now I know that everything I want and how I aim to serve is on the other side of difficult.

I know I’m not strong enough to do it alone, but like a World Prize Fighter 🥊 I gotta a team of people in my corner and now that team is part of Yoga XL.

Thank you to all the educators, doctors, spiritual guides, trainers, family and friends who show me the way constantly.

News 📰 just came in that our Long Beach superstar client is sleeping more, eating healthy, living more mindfully and down 3” in her hips and 2” in her stomach just after 3 weeks of targeted workouts. We spent the first month just “waxing on & waxing off”.
