The official Facebook home of the South County High School Band Program! The South County High School Band is under the direction of Mr. Kevin Engdahl.

The South County High School Band program is a comprehensive band program for students grade 9-12 living in southeastern portion of Fairfax County, Virginia. The band program consists of two high school concert bands, jazz bands, percussion ensemble, an indoor drumline, an indoor color guard, and a marching band. The band program has been named a Virginia Honor Band for the 2006-2007, 2007-2008, 2

008-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2011, 2011-2012, and 2012-2013 school years after obtaining superior ratings in both its Symphonic Band and Marching Band programs, during state and district assessments.

Parent Preview Night was an absolute blast! 🥁✨
After three intense weeks of band camp, the kids turned the tables and taught family and friends a few measures of their show—spots, choreography, marching, and all. Then came the moment of truth: the Parent Performance! Let’s just say we all left with a whole new level of respect for what these students pull off on the field (and a newfound appreciation for the weight of those drums!).
To top it all off, the students completely blew us away with their own performance. Their dedication, sweat, and hard work are already paying off in a huge way.
Huge thanks to all of your support so far, and congratulations to the entire band on an amazing start to the season! 🎶👏

Huge thanks to our staff for keeping our winds tuned, percussion in tempo, visuals on point, and guard spinning strong. Special appreciation to the parents for those pre-sunrise wake-up calls, and our rockstar volunteers for keeping everyone fueled!
