Today, the SCMS PTSO celebrated National Donut Day with a sweet treat for our amazing teachers and staff!
Because of the support of our SCMS families and fundraising efforts throughout the year, we’re able to show our appreciation in small ways that let our staff know they’re valued.

Dear PTO Members and Parents,
As our 8th graders prepare for their next big step into high school, we have an exciting transition experience planned for them! We are organizing a class trip to neighboring South County High School to help them get a feel for the campus, learn about high school life, and ease the transition for the upcoming school year.
To make this trip a success and ensure the safety of our students, we are looking for parent volunteers to serve as chaperones.
Here are the details for the event:
Date: Tuesday, June 9, 2026
Group A: 8:30-9:45am Group B: 9:45-11:15am
Transportation: We will be walking to and from the campus together.
Duration: The event at the high school will last for approximately 1.5 hours (plus a few minutes for walking time).

Yesterday’s TGIT (Thank Goodness It’s Thursday) at South County Middle School was one for the books! We had more than 100 students and staff hanging out after school, laughing, dancing, gaming, playing basketball, and just enjoying time together as a community.
A HUGE thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who helped make this event happen. From selling tickets during lunch all week long to setting up, grilling, organizing, and cheering the kids on — this event truly took a village.
Special shoutout to Vice Principal Mr. Mitchell who absolutely crushed grill duty keeping up with burgers, cheeseburgers, and hotdogs all afternoon long! 🍔🌭🔥
We also had:

🍦 An ice cream truck
🏀 Basketball & outdoor games
🎶 Music, dancing, and TikTok reels
😄 Tons of laughter and memories made
This is exactly what makes our SCMS community so special. These are the moments our kids will remember for years to come — and honestly, so will we. 💙
