🇺🇸 Sometimes the most meaningful reminders show up right in your own backyard.

This magnificent bald eagle was photographed just days ago in Wi******er, Virginia—right in the backyard of Links to Freedom's Executive Director, Kelli Van Den Berg

With preparations underway for our 9th Annual Veterans Day Benefit, we couldn't help but think he was keeping a watchful eye over all the planning!

And what a fitting visitor as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary.

The bald eagle symbolizes the freedom, strength, and resilience of our nation—and reminds us of the men and women whose service and sacrifice have helped preserve those freedoms.

As we prepare to honor our veterans, we invite our community to be part of something meaningful.

⛳ BUILDING SKILLS. BUILDING CONFIDENCE.

🇺🇸 Week 5 | Fort Bragg Fall Program

Another great day on the golf course with our Links to Freedom Warriors at Fort Bragg!

From the driving range to the practice bunker, our Warriors are putting in the work, learning new techniques, and building confidence one swing at a time.

And thanks to our dedicated golf professionals, they're receiving the individual attention, encouragement, and support that make each session so valuable.

We're now five weeks into our eight-week Fall Program, and the progress continues!

💚 More than golf. More than a lesson. It's about confidence, camaraderie, and connection.

Thank you to our instructors and everyone who helps make these opportunities possible!

⛳ ONE MORE WEEK! | Fort Belvoir

It's hard to believe we're already through Week 7 of our Fall Program at Fort Belvoir!

From those first swings to the friendships formed along the way, our Warriors have spent the past seven weeks learning, improving, encouraging one another, and enjoying time together on the golf course. 🇺🇸

This past Saturday was another great day of instruction, practice, and camaraderie!

Next Saturday, we'll wrap up our eight-week program with a day on the course, followed by closing remarks and special recognitions.

A big THANK YOU to our incredible instructors, volunteers, and friends at Fort Belvoir Golf Club who help make each week possible.

💚 It's about so much more than golf. It's about connection, confidence, and community.

One more week. Let's finish strong! 💪⛳

IN THEIR WORDS 💬 | Voices from Links to Freedom

Golf is the game. Connection and camaraderie are part of what make it so much more. ⛳🇺🇸

Links to Freedom participant William Littlejohn shared what he has enjoyed about the program:

“Networking and building a bond in the veteran community while learning a great game is what I experienced and enjoyed. The instructors are awesome and show great patience. The whole organization is a great representation of L2F.”

Thank you, William, for sharing your experience—and for being part of the Links to Freedom community.

Their words. Their experiences. The mission in action.

Rain or shine, we keep going. ☔️⛳️

Week 6 at Fort Belvoir was a wet one—but that didn't stop this group!

Golf is an outdoor sport, and sometimes that means learning to play through less-than-perfect conditions. Our participants showed up ready to learn, our instructors were right there with them, and another great day of adaptive golf was underway.

There were umbrellas. There were rain jackets. There were definitely some wet shoes. 😂 But most importantly, there was instruction, camaraderie, determination and plenty of golf.

Thank you to our participants, instructors and volunteers for another great week—and to Fort Belvoir Golf Club for continuing to welcome Links to Freedom.

Six weeks down. Two to go! 💚⛳️
