☆Sharing Gold Outs☆
Good morning Everyone,

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Gold is the Awareness Color.

The Annual SCHS Gold Outs in support of the Emma Jordon Kidz Fighting Cancer Foundation and childhood cancer awareness are scheduled for the following dates:

September 2nd - 8th Annual Girls Volleyball vs Alexandria City (Freshmen/ JV @ 5pm; Varsity @ 6:30pm

September 3rd - 12th Annual Football, Cheer, Dance, Band, Choir vs Hayfield 7pm

September 14th - 8th Annual Field Hockey vs Edison 7:30pm

September 15th - 3rd Annual Boys Volleyball vs Fairfax 6:30pm

There will be free admission to all SCHS students wearing a gold shirt for all Gold Out games this year! Thank you, Mr. Harris!!

Currently, I do not have a childhood cancer survivor to participate in the coin toss for the events. If you know of a student who is a cancer survivor, can you please ask the student if he/she is willing to participate?

I will be at all lunches August 31 - Sept. 3rd and Sept. 14 - 15th selling t-shirts ($10.00 for S, M, L, XL; $15.00 for 2XL and 3XL).

Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.

We greatly appreciate your support to raise awareness and funding to help children in their battle with cancer.

☆ Sharing the Kiss & Ride map and instructions☆

Parents & Guardians,

Good morning. To help alleviate some of the back-ups in the morning Kiss & Ride spots, I wanted to send out a reminder of the three Kiss & Ride drop off locations here at South County H.S. The following three places are as follows, in the attached Kiss & Ride map.

If you are entering the parking lot from Silverbrook Rd., proceed pass the gate at the bus loop, there are several cones directing “Parents/Students” to the right. Please use the first two lanes on the right to stop at the cones, and your student can exit in the area where the green is marked. Once you drop your student off, proceed straight ahead to Stallion Dr., then onto Laurel Crest Dr.
If you are entering from Laurel Crest Dr., onto Stallion Dr. (by the softball field, and tennis court), turn down the lane towards “The Bubble”, and your students can exit your vehicle in the area where the green is marked by “The Bubble”. Once you drop off there, you will be making a U-turn down the next aisle, and exit onto Stallion Dr., then onto Laurel Crest Dr.
If you are dropping off your student at Door 12 (driving around from the back of the school), pull up into the loop at Door 12, and your student can exit your vehicle in the area where the green is marked at Door 12.

Heads Up: Sharing for Athletics Boosters!
Good morning

We desperately need help with tomorrow's Stallion Stampede. So far, only 1 student and 1 adult have signed up, and 2 adults have committed verbally.
We need at least 4 students and 2 more adults to help during the sale. Without more assistance, we will lose sales.

Please pass the word about volunteering (if you haven't already), and ask your students to ask their friends and teammates to volunteer.
