💜💛 Introducing Mr. & Miss. ROTC for SY 26–27! 💛💜

The Alcorn State University Army ROTC Braves Battalion is proud to introduce our very own Mr. ROTC, Jaden Coleman, and Miss. ROTC, Zamya McCollum! 👏🏽

Zamya was proudly supported by her mother, Danelle Woods, and sister, 𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢 Woods, along with her ROTC family who continues to show up and support her every step of the way.

Jaden and Zamya looked absolutely amazing last night during Alcorn State University’s Coronation, and we could not be more proud to see them represent the Braves Battalion with pride, confidence, and excellence.

We look forward to watching them continue to lead, serve, and represent Alcorn Army ROTC throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

Congratulations, Mr. & Miss. ROTC! 💜💛

💜💛 SUPER LAB RECAP | BRAVES BATTALION 💛💜

A full day of training and another opportunity to sharpen the skills that matter.

Our Super Lab is an additional weekend training exercise designed to give our Cadets more repetitions, more hands-on experience, and more opportunities to build confidence as they prepare for Advanced Camp.

From planning and leadership to tactical ex*****on and teamwork, every training event brings our Cadets one step closer to being ready for the challenges ahead.

Preparation does not happen overnight. It takes time, repetition, discipline, and a willingness to keep getting better.

The Braves Battalion is putting in the work. 💪🏾💜💛

Happy Monday from the Braves Battalion! 💜💛

What better way to start the week than celebrating a Southern Heritage Classic WIN! 🏈

While Alcorn State University battled its way to an exciting double-overtime victory in Memphis, MAJ Gloria Hodge was also on the ground representing Army ROTC and connecting with prospective Cadet Athletes, families, alumni, and community partners.

MAJ Hodge serves as a Mississippi Army National Guard Recruiter, Assistant Professor of Military Science for the Braves Battalion.

The Braves Battalion is committed to taking recruiting and outreach beyond campus—meeting future leaders where they are and showing them how they can pursue their education, compete at a high level, and develop as leaders through Army ROTC.

A big win on the field and another great opportunity to represent Alcorn State University and Army ROTC in the community.

Fear the Braves! 💜💛

Alcorn State University Army ROTC was proud to welcome the 6th Brigade Command Team to the Braves Battalion! 💜💛🇺🇸

During the visit, the command team had the opportunity to meet Dr. Tracy Cook, President of Alcorn State University, and Dr. McMurrary, Dean of our department, while learning more about the support and partnerships that contribute to the success of our ROTC program.

The team also spent time speaking directly with our Braves Battalion cadets, hearing about their experiences in the program, their goals, and their development as future Army Officers.

We appreciate the 6th Brigade Command Team for taking the time to visit Alcorn State University, engage with our leadership, and connect with the cadets who represent the future of our Army.

Developing leaders. Building partnerships. Preparing future Army Officers.

Today, the Alcorn State University Army ROTC Braves Battalion joins our nation in remembering September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

We honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the service members who answered the call in the years that followed.

For our cadets, today is also a reminder of what service means — duty, courage, sacrifice, and commitment to something greater than ourselves.

May we always remember. May we always honor. And may we continue to lead with purpose.

Never Forget. 9/11/2001
