It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brother Michael Pittman. Brother Pittman was a great man with a kind heart who served his fraternity and his chapter well and with confidence. He was a Spring 2020 initiate of the Theta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and served as the chapter Corresponding Secretary until 2024. He exemplified the aims Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind well and made a tremendous impact on the many lives he touched. May his soul rest in Omega with beloved founders and may God comfort his family in this difficult time. Job well done good brother. Take your rest 🕊️💛🖤

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Brother, Alcorn State University Alumnus, and 6th grade teacher Darian Holt is set to be featured on season seven of one of Netflix’s most popular and original series, ‘The Circle.” The series follows players who live alone in apartments and compete against each other only using a social media platform called the Circle to win $100,000. Brother Holt’s 6th grade class went viral when he recorded his class mispronouncing his fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. as ‘Apple Fried Apple Inc.’ The video went viral on social media, gaining millions of views. He has since founded a youth organization by the name to provide children with a sense of belongingness, togetherness, and academic excellence while introducing them to Black Greek life and HBCUs.
