Loris Middle School Bands

Attention rising 6th graders at LES, Daisy, and Kingston Elementary: Our instrument "petting zoo" where the rising 6th graders can try out different instruments that they have an option to play next year at LMS is Thursday between 5-7 May 14th in the LMS cafeteria. Some high school and middle school students will be there to help, meet Mr. Barkley, and Mr. Freeman from Music and Arts will also be there with information on how to provide an instrument for your child. It is a drop in meeting, so come any time between 5 and 7 oclock :) Help spread the word!

Spring Band concert Monday May 18th in the LMS gym! Preshow begins about 530, with the main event at 6:00. Come early for the best seat and enjoy preshow. Show up for 6th graders is 4:45, 7th grade 5:10, 8th grade at 5:25. Dress is our polos and khakis. Admission is free so come out and check out the best music around for miles!
Orchestra Concert is Thursday May 21st in the LMS auditorium. Show up for all students is 5:00, preshow about 5:30 with main event at 6:00!

All County Band makeup clinic and concert tonight at 6 at MBHS!

Very proud of the 28 members of the Loris Lion Band who participated at the Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival today! They got up early on a Saturday and showcased their talents in 19 different performance events. You represented the school well and really shined! Final scores showed 13 Superiors with 3 perfect scores and another one 1 point away from perfect! 6 Excellents with 4 of them 2 points away from a Superior! Bursting with Lion pride! Then for lunch, we went to Bucc-ees! Here's a few random pictures from today's events! Let's goooo Lion Band!
