We would like to thank Ms. Velna Allen, Chief Officer of Student Services, for spending time with our staff this morning as we prepared for tomorrow’s big day! 💙💛

While Ms. Allen shared that she was not a motivational speaker, our staff certainly left feeling motivated and inspired. Her message served as a powerful reminder of the impact educators can have on the lives of students and how the right person, at the right time, can help a student recognize their value, potential, and possibilities.

Thank you, Ms. Allen, for reminding us of the difference we have the opportunity to make each and every day. As we welcome our Lions back tomorrow, we are ready to make every interaction count! 🦁

As we prepare to welcome our Lions back tomorrow, our teachers spent some time today painting, planting, and preparing for a year of growth! 🪴💙💛

Each staff member decorated a pot and planted something they will nurture throughout the school year. The activity served as a reminder of the important work we do each day with our students. Just like plants, students need care, encouragement, patience, and the right environment to grow and thrive. 🌱 Our hope is that as teachers watch their plants grow throughout the year, they’ll be reminded of the growth taking place in their classrooms each day.

A special thank you to our Loris High School PTO for providing lunch for our staff today and to Costa Farms’ South Carolina location for generously donating the plants that made this activity possible. We appreciate your support of our LHS family!

Tomorrow, our students return to the Den, and we can’t wait to see how much they grow this year! 🦁💙💛

Today, we officially welcomed the Class of 2030 and all students new to LHS! Our teachers also got in on the excitement with a spirited competition to show off their LHS pride!

We would like to thank Crossway Baptist Church and Pastor Tommy Shelley for generously providing lunch for our staff today.

We are excited to kick off the 2026–2027 school year and can’t wait to see all that it has in store!
