🎉 School report cards are out, and Loris High School earned a rating of GOOD! 💙💛

The SC Department of Education issues school report cards, and the results reflect our students' academic achievement and the school’s environment. A rating of Good indicates that our school’s performance exceeds the criteria to ensure all students meet the Profile of the SC Graduate.

Two key contributors to our rating were our Graduation Rate and College and Career Readiness. Over the past four years, our Graduation Rate has increased by 14.9 points, while our College and Career Readiness rate has increased by 40.3 points!

These accomplishments reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community partners. Thank you for the role each of you has played in moving Loris High School forward!

We have much to celebrate, but there is still work to be done. Let's continue raising expectations, opening doors of opportunity for our students, and building a legacy of excellence at Loris High School!

We would like to give a special shoutout to our awesome Principal for a Day, Mr. Joe Sistare!

Mr. Sistare is the Owner/Operator of Sistare Southern Properties Team of Keller Williams Innovate South, a member of the North Myrtle Beach High School School Improvement Council, President of the North Strand Optimist Club, and a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Mr. Sistare jumped right into the principal experience! He greeted students as they entered the building, visited classrooms, participated in professional development, helped with lunch duty, connected with students and staff, and joined our administrative team for an afternoon meeting.

He also shared a few words of wisdom with one of our classes, challenging students to think about the positive impact they can make at Loris High School before they graduate and the legacy they will leave behind.

Thank you, Mr. Sistare, for spending the day with us and encouraging our students. We enjoyed having you as part of One Pride, One Legacy, and you are welcome back anytime!

Of course, we couldn’t let a North Myrtle Beach Chiefs supporter spend the day at LHS without a little friendly rivalry! We managed to get Mr. Sistare into a Loris Lions shirt for the day. We have to admit, the Lion looked pretty good on him!

Happy National Instructional Coaches Day!

Today, we are excited to recognize and celebrate our Instructional Coach, Mrs. Jodi Cox!

Mrs. Cox plays an important role in supporting teaching and learning at Loris High School. Whether she is collaborating with teachers, sharing instructional strategies and resources, supporting professional growth, or helping our staff meet the needs of students, she is always willing to lend a hand.

And while Instructional Coach may be her official title, we know it is just one of the many hats she wears at LHS! Mrs. Cox is always willing to step in, take on additional responsibilities, and do whatever is needed to support our students, staff, and school.

Thank you, Mrs. Cox, for all that you do for Loris High School. We appreciate you today and every day! 🦁💙💛
