Tonight as I lay my head down on my pillow, I’m thankful for the meaning of this holiday. For me, it’s two fold.

God gave me the PRESENT of his son who came to be PRESENT with me. You see, he desires for me to be in his presence. And as I get older, I’m really beginning to understand & value peoples presence more than any gift.

A person can give a gift, which is lovely, it costs them something, but they can always get the cost of that item back.

BUT….

When someone gives you their TIME, they cannot get that back. It’s precious. It’s valuable. It’s a treasure.

So, this holiday, make sure you take time to let the people in your life know how much you appreciate their presence. And then, when they’re with you, turn off the phone, tv, put notifications on silent and be PRESENT!!

Merry Christmas friends. My love & prayers for you all!

So thankful for this man Lance!! Took his day off to help me build the set for our upcoming play Straight Outta Bethlehem!! Minimal budget but his wisdom & the artistic help from Angie & Gracie Prince…I couldn’t be happier. Just a few finishing touches & we’ll be ready for opening night.

Hey friends!! I’m looking for some props/set pieces for my up coming show and was hoping my local friends might be able to help me out:

We need:

2 shepherd’s hooks
1 abacus
Wooden stool (medium height)
Simple wood podium for like a hostess stand
Also, anyone have any Biblical Character costumes?

Here we are in the “sleepy” little village of Bethlehem. But in this tiny town something huge and miraculous is about to happen…the birth of the Messiah! Right in the midst of all the action is an irresistibly brave and unweavering group of orphans who reside at the Inn of Bethlehem. Meet Starr, Zoolie, John Luke, Gertie, Agnus, and Blake (oh, and shepherds Zeke and Ziggy!). Along with Trixie, who runs the inn, this loveable ragamuffin group of characters will put a smile on your lips and a song in your heart as they unveil the story of Christmas and how God sent His only Son to be born, STRAIGHT OUTTA BETHLEHEM. As eyewitnesses to the holy, blessed event, their special re-telling of the story is sure to shine a bright new light on the importance of our Savior’s birth!

Good Book Players Theatre mission is to express God’s extravagant love and unleash the God-given abilities of those with intellectual differences (IDD) and special needs through the art of Theatre. Significant strides have been made in the world to accept people with IDD and special needs. We dream of taking things further by offering a creative outlet for our friends with IDD and special needs. We want each one to feel like they belong, are a part a Christ-center community where they can use their gifts to serve others in a creative way.

I am thrilled to offer this opportunity to kids of all capabilities. Rehearsals will be Thurs 430-630 and Sat 10-12. This is an awesome adventure for those who haven’t done theatre before.
