Tonight's technique of the week focuses on taking down a faster opponent from the clinch in MMA. It's important to note that, leading up to obtaining the initial clinch, one focuses on wearing down their partner's legs via calf kicks and intelligent use of striking angles. While this particular takedown is the crux of the lesson, intelligent lead up and follow through are extremely important to prevent allowing the opponent to exercise their speed advantage.
