🌦️🔭 4K WEATHER WATCHERS! ✈️🌧️

As we move further into our Weather Curriculum, our 4K friends have officially become WEATHER WATCHERS! 👀🌤️

The children went outside to explore the sky 🔭 using the telescopes they created. Afterward, they took time to draw ✍🏾🎨 what they observed through their telescopes. We are encouraging them to LOOK, THINK, and SHARE what they see!

Then it was time to make some RAIN CLOUDS! ☁️🌧️ We talked about how rain forms and had SO much fun creating different types of storms using shaving cream and food coloring. The excitement was definitely “pouring” in! 😂🌧️

Our little learners are also continuing to practice writing and recognizing their names ✍🏾📝 while building positive friendships and relationships during free play. ❤️

We are learning, exploring, creating, and growing every day—and we are definitely moving forward in a STORMY way! 🌪️🌧️☀️

Capture Child Development Center invites you to our Family Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat! Bring the whole family out for an evening filled with inflatables, music, games, food, Trunk or Treat, and MORE FUN! 🍭🎶🎈

🌧️💦 WE’RE HAVING A SPLASHING GOOD TIME IN 4K! 💦🌧️

With some rainy weather headed our way this weekend, 4K's Super Friends turned today into the perfect opportunity for some hands-on WEATHER learning! ☔️🌦️

📚 Today, we read our new book, “The Super Friends and the Rainy Day.” Our little meteorologists learned where rain comes from and explored the water cycle—how water travels through evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection before beginning its journey all over again! 💧☁️🌧️

🧪 Then we became real weather scientists! Using recycled plastic bottles, each child created a rain gauge. We placed our rain gauges outside, where they will stay throughout the weekend to collect any rainfall we receive. 🌧️📏

When we return Monday morning, our Super Friends will check their rain gauges, observe, measure, compare, and record their findings! 🔎📊

We’re not just talking about weather—we’re watching it, measuring it, and experiencing it! ❤️

❄️☃️ SNOW MUCH FUN IN CAPTURE’S 4K! ☃️❄️
Brrrrr! 🥶 Today, Capture’s 4K classroom had a SNOW-TASTIC time as our little meteorologists continued their exciting journey into the wonderful world of WEATHER! 🌨️
📚 We started our frozen adventure with the classic story The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. The story helped us begin thinking about what snow looks like, feels like, and what makes a snowy day so special.
❄️ Then it was time to discover the wonders of SNOW! Our 4K friends learned that snow is frozen water that falls from clouds. When the air is cold enough, water in the clouds can freeze and form snow. When it gets warm enough, that frozen water melts and becomes liquid water—just like rain! 🌧️
We also discovered that snow can be full of surprises! Sometimes snow is soft, fluffy, and light, but when it freezes and becomes packed with ice, it can be solid, hard, and heavy! 🧊💪🏽 And one of our favorite discoveries? Snowflakes are not all the same! We looked at their beautiful shapes and learned that every snowflake can have its own unique pattern. ❄️✨
But we couldn’t just TALK about snow—we had to make some! 😆 With the help of our wonderful CCU students, we brought a little winter weather right into the classroom and had an amazing time making our own snow! Our children were able to touch, explore, investigate, and learn through hands-on play. 👐🏽❄️
There were smiles, questions, discoveries, and plenty of excitement as our little learners became SNOW SCIENTISTS for the day! 🔬☃️
And we’re just getting started! We’re looking forward to the rest of the week as we continue having a GOOD FROZEN TIME learning even more about weather! 🌨️🧊❄️

Our little learners had some messy-free fun with bag painting! 🎨 They explored beautiful fall colors by pressing, patting, and moving the paint around inside the bag.

This sensory activity helps strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, color exploration, and sensory development..all while getting us ready for FALL! 🧡❤️💛
