Progress in PA!
🎉 A Historic Win for Occupational Therapy in Pennsylvania! 🎉
Today we celebrate the passage of PA House Bill 482, legislation authorizing Pennsylvania to join the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact, which is now headed to the Governor’s desk for signature. This is a tremendous step forward for occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and the individuals and families we serve across the Commonwealth.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association members for their tireless advocacy, leadership, and commitment throughout this process. Your dedication to advancing the profession and improving access to occupational therapy services has helped make this milestone possible.
This achievement reflects the power of collective advocacy and what can happen when professionals come together to champion meaningful change.
👏 Thank you to the legislators, advocates, practitioners, educators, students, and supporters who worked to move this legislation forward. Now, we look forward to seeing HB 482 signed into law and to the opportunities it will create for the OT profession and the communities we serve.
