Mentorship Day!
Today we welcomed six alumni mentors for an engaging afternoon of connection, collaboration, and professional growth!
Our alumni mentors shared valuable real-world insights during a career development panel, reflecting on their transitions from the classroom to clinical practice. They offered guidance on navigating the challenges of early career development, strengthening clinical skills, and building meaningful professional networks.
Students also participated in small-group case study discussions focused on clinical reasoning and problem-solving. Guided by alumni mentors, students applied their knowledge to complex clinical scenarios, explored potential intervention strategies, asked questions, and received feedback to support their growth as future occupational therapy practitioners.
Events like these highlight the power of mentorship in bridging the gap between education and practice, fostering meaningful alumni connections, and preparing the next generation of occupational therapists to make a difference.
