The forecast is calling for a HOT day, so we’re turning up the FUN at FUNdamental Learning Center!

🌊 Friday, July 3rd is Water Day!

Please send your child with:
👕 Extra clothes
🩳 A towel
💧 Clothes they don’t mind getting wet

We’re planning a day full of splashing, smiles, and staying cool! 😎

Officer Baez from the Lorain Police Department stopped by bearing gifts!! Our toddlers are so excited to get some wear and tear on the donated bicycles and toys. You’re the best!

We came. We saw. We played our hearts out. FLC participated in the 10th annual Marquis McCall Stop the Violence tournament this morning. Players gave it their all from start to finish. We are so proud!! 🏀

Registration for Lorain Police Safety Town is still open!

We still have openings available for several upcoming sessions, with the most availability currently in our July afternoon classes.

Safety Town provides children with a fun, hands-on learning experience focused on important safety topics, including:

• Traffic and pedestrian safety
• Bike safety and helmet use
• When and how to call 911
• Stranger awareness
• Fire safety and emergency preparedness

Classes are held Monday through Thursday at Lorain High School, 2600 Ashland Avenue.

Class Times:
Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM

If you've been considering signing your child up, now is a great time. Our July afternoon sessions still have several spots available, but registration is required!

🌱 FUN Camp Garden Update! 🌱

Look how far we’ve come! From freshly built garden beds to thriving vegetables, flowers, and our very first tomatoes beginning to grow! 🍅💚

Our young gardeners have been hard at work learning how food grows, caring for plants, watering, weeding, and watching their hard work turn into something amazing. This garden is becoming more than just a place to grow vegetables—it’s a living classroom where children are learning responsibility, patience, science, healthy eating, and teamwork.

✨ Garden Highlights:
🍅 Tomatoes are growing and producing fruit!
🧅 Onions are thriving!
🥬 Kale, cabbage, and leafy greens are flourishing!
🌱 Our beans have officially started climbing the trellis and reaching for the sky!
🌸 Pollinator-friendly flowers are blooming!
🌻 Every garden bed is showing growth and progress!

It’s incredible to look back at where we started and see what we have accomplished together. What began as empty raised beds is now a thriving garden filled with learning opportunities and growing food.

💚 Thank you to everyone who has supported our garden project. Stay tuned as we continue harvesting, cooking, exploring, and growing all summer long. We can’t wait to see what our young gardeners accomplish next!

Our FUN Campers enjoyed an exciting field trip to our local library for Lunch & Legos! After enjoying lunch together, the children put their creativity to work by designing places they hope to visit this summer. 🌞

From colorful water parks 💦 and exciting playgrounds 🛝 to adventurous race tracks 🏎️, each creation reflected the imagination, innovation, and unique ideas of its builder. Through hands-on play, our campers practiced problem-solving, engineering, creativity, and teamwork—all while having FUN!

We love providing experiences that encourage children to dream big, build boldly, and learn through play. ❤️
