Our LGS Middle School Leadership students absolutely crushed it with this year’s Spider-Man float for the Del Oro Homecoming Parade in downtown Loomis!

Over the past several weeks, these students poured countless hours into planning, building, painting, and bringing their vision to life. Along the way, they learned how to use power tools, work with different materials, problem-solve, collaborate, and most importantly, see what a little creativity and a LOT of hard work can accomplish!

And the best part? They had SO much fun doing it!

A HUGE thank you to Krisha Halstead, our incredible Leadership “mom,” for dedicating so much time, energy, and heart to this project. ❤️ You showed these kids what dedication, teamwork, and determination can make possible — and gave them an experience they’ll remember long after the float comes down!

So proud of these kids and what they accomplished together!

WE KNOW MR. SCHMIDT! Congratulations to our very own Mr. Schmidt on officially earning tenure with Loomis Union School District!

If you know Mr. Schmidt, you know he is famous for showing up for his students — literally. He can often be spotted on the sidelines of their games, holding one of his homemade “I KNOW [student’s name]!” signs and cheering them on.

So when it was time to celebrate him, we knew exactly what to do. “I KNOW MR. SCHMIDT!”
Complete with a few tenure-themed signs, of course!

Mr. Schmidt, thank you for being the kind of teacher who doesn’t just support his students in the classroom, but shows up for them outside of it, too. We’re pretty lucky to know you — and even luckier to know you’re sticking around!

Congratulations, Mr. Schmidt! Tenure looks good on you!

Our LGS staff was well fed today!

A huge thank you to LBEF for treating our teachers and staff to a coffee truck this morning! PTC added some breakfast treats to round out the morning and get everyone’s Friday off to a delicious start.

Then it was time for First Friday Staff Lunch, hosted this month by our amazing 8th grade families — and they brought the tacos!

Coffee, breakfast treats AND tacos… not a bad way to spend a Friday! Thank you to LBEF and our 8th grade families for helping us show our LGS teachers and staff a little extra love today. They deserve it!
