Welcome to Frieda Yang's Music & Mind Studio. As the former Assistant Concert-Master of the New York Grand Opera and a graduate of the Juilliard School, I strive to bring the highest level of mastery to my violin and viola students in the Greater Sacramento area and via online lessons. Super proud of my student Andrew who made it to MTAC’s Panel Honor Recital in June 2019. Less than 0.1% of the students who take the Certificate of Merit Exams (MTAC) in CA obtain this honor. He will be attending Stanford University in the fall as an English major. Music builds the part of the brain for languages 😉.

A little late in positing this...from 6/3/19. Congratulations to Lena Tang, my students of 7 yrs, who just performed Ziguenerweisen with the Placer County Youth Orchestra. She is also the concert-master at PCYO. Well done!
