Now is the time to register for Fall Ball if you have not already. Registration closes today and we are starting to turn on waitlists in some divisions!

Current team count:

🥎8u – 2 teams, 3 more spots available until rosters are full.
🥎10u – 5 teams, we could use a couple more players to strengthen the rosters.
🥎12u – 3 teams, 4 more spots available before rosters are full.
🥎14u/16u – 14u team roster full and a 14/16u team - the waitlist turned on but we could possibly add 3 more players.

We have Coaches for the 14u team and 14/16u team, but need a coupe more to help the teams be successful, please reach out to Brian Renick for details at [email protected]

Also, don’t forget that Fall Ball is designed to allow girls to participate in other sports, including soccer and flag football, so it’s a great opportunity to stay on the softball field without conflicting with the fall sports season.

NEW this season:
To create the best teams and provide the best experience for every player, we will be holding player evaluations before teams are formed. These evaluations will help us identify pitchers and catchers, assess overall skill levels, and build appropriate teams.

Please note: These are not tryouts, and participation is not required. Every registered player will be placed on a team.

The evaluations simply help us create the most enjoyable and developmental experience for everyone. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for the girls to dust off their gloves, shake off the rust, and get back on the field!

Fall Ball registration is still open, and there's still time to secure your player's spot, if you haven't already done so! Regular Registration remains open through July 30.

We're especially looking for a few more players in our 8U and 12U divisions to help fill out our teams. If you've been thinking about signing up, now is the perfect time! If you know a friend, classmate, or teammate in another sport who has been interested in trying softball, we'd love for you to invite them to join the 5 Cities family. New players are always welcome!

Fall Ball is a fun, quick season that focuses on player development, building confidence, learning new positions, and preparing for the spring season—all while making new friends and enjoying more time on the field.

Don't wait—register by July 30 to be part of another great Fall Ball season. We can't wait to see everyone back on the field this fall!

What a season it has been for our 12U Screaming Eagles! 🖤💛🥎🦅

This team has learned what it means to compete, to battle through adversity, to support one another, and to keep showing up with determination every single weekend. They have celebrated big moments, learned from tough ones, and have never stopped working as individuals to become better teammates and better athletes.

We are incredibly proud of the players, coaches, and families who represented 5 Cities with heart, hustle, and sportsmanship all season long. They are headed to play in the awesome Blast 💥 By The Bay 🌊Tournament in Santa Cruz in a few weeks and we will all be cheering them on during this last part of the season! Keep working, keep believing, and keep soaring! 💛🖤

Our local softball family, Elk Grove Girls Softball League, is completely heartbroken by the passing of 14-year-old Maren Bristow. Maren wasn’t just a part of their league; she was the very heart of it.

🥎🖤 POST-A-PALOOZA is here! 🖤🥎

It's been an incredibly busy May and June for our All-Stars and Screaming Eagles teams, and we'll be sharing team highlights all week long!

First up, a HUGE congratulations to our 14U Screaming Eagles, the USA Softball of Sacramento 14U Class B Association Champions! 🏆🦅

These girls went 5-0 on the weekend, showing heart, grit, teamwork, and selflessness every step of the way. They supported each other, stayed positive, and played for the team in every at-bat, every inning, and every game. Their championship was truly a total team effort!

We couldn't be prouder of these players and coaches. Congratulations, CHAMPS! 💛🖤

Fall Ball is the perfect chance to sharpen skills, make new friends, and keep the softball fun going!

Fall Ball involves inter-league play with other leagues affiliated with NORCAL.

The Fall Ball season officially begins Mid-August (with a mandatory seeding tournament around Labor Day weekend) and all divisions play on Sundays through Mid-Late October.

The divisions will be divided into four age groups:
8U (ages 7-8)
10U (ages 9-10)
12U (ages 11-12)
14/16U (ages 13-16)

We are also looking for coaches and managers. If you are interested in coaching or managing, please register as a volunteer.

Spots fill quickly, so be sure to register early!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 14U SCREAMING EAGLES!!!!! They are the USA Softball of Sacramento 14U SELECT CHAMPIONS!!! After playing in ALL FIVE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES this select season (and taking 2nd place the first 4 times) they pulled together as a team and won when it mattered most, on our home field! We are SO proud of the integrity and perseverance you played with this weekend!
