Loogootee boys cross country finished in 10th place at the BNL sectional.

Senior C**t Kerns finished in 28th place qualifying for the regional at Angel Mounds in Evansville next Saturday .

Ashlynn Weitkamp finished in 46th and Resse Gibson 47th in girls division. The top 40 qualify for regionals.

Loogootee boys high school XC team finished in fourth place at the Blue chip conference championship ran at the Gasthof village in Montgomery.

The boys team was led by C**t Kerns, who finished in 16th place with a time of 18:44. The girls team was led by Ashlynn Weitkamp, who finished in 16th place with a time of 24:11, which happens to be her career best.

Lions will be at Bedford North Lawrence next Saturday to run in the sectional 22 cross country meet.

Loogootee was well represented by these state qualifiers! Great experience, maybe a bit overwhelming, but they all left it on the course. These athletes all had a goal to make it to state this season. They did it, they finished, and now to set new goals for next year. The top 25 individuals were recognized from each race. Knox Jeffers finished 22 out of 583 runners with a time of 10:36. Out of these 9 state qualifiers, 7 of them are first year runners! The sky is the limit for the growth we have coming. Proud of each and every runner this season! 💛🦁🖤
