We kicked off the new school year with our Welcome Back Meeting this morning, and the excitement was contagious! Our teachers and staff cannot wait to welcome our Koalas and their families back to campus.

A huge thank-you to our incredible Wekiva Elementary PTA for providing a delicious breakfast, helping us set up the cafeteria, and always being such amazing partners to our school. We appreciate everything you do for our staff, students, and families!

We can’t wait to see everyone and begin another wonderful year at Wekiva Elementary! 🐨💙💛

Please join us in welcoming Laura Hamburg to Wekiva Elementary. She will be joining the 5th grade team. She is a Wekiva resident and has been a SCPS substitute teacher for the past 5 years. Prior to subbing, she taught 5th grade for 12 years and 4th grade for two years.

Mrs. Hamburg is thrilled to officially be joining Wekiva and the 5th grade team. She is passionate about building relationships with students and helping them become confident to advocate for themselves as they prepare for middle school.

Outside of school, Mrs. Hamburg enjoys the beach, a good book, working on a jigsaw puzzle, spending time with family, and cheering her kids on in their extracurricular activities.

Mrs. Hamburg is excited to be returning to the classroom full time and being a part of the 5th grade team.
