ππ¨π Wekiva PTA Gives Back ππ¨π
The Wekiva Elementary PTA raises money through membership, fundraisers and Spirit Nights. We use these funds to give back to the school.
Because of your support the Wekiva PTA can enhance classroom technology. π»
Some of the ways we do this are:
π΅$6,696 was spent on an online platform called Nearpod. This platform allowed teachers to generate interactive online presentations, quizzes, readings, activities, and more that related to the content in all subject areas. Teachers could also used premade instructional materials. Here is the link for the main page: https://nearpod.com/
π΅$1,995 was spent on a subscription to Generation Genius. This platform has been used for science classes. They provide engaging science videos with activities, notes, quizzes and more. Here is the link for the main page: https://www.generationgenius.com/

The Wekiva Elementary PTA raises money through membership, fundraisers and Spirit Nights. We use these funds to give back to the school.
Because of your support the Wekiva PTA can celebrate School Staff Members.
Some of the ways they do this is
π΅About $2000 was spent on the Back to School Breakfast. This is a great opportunity to welcome teachers back to school and get them excited for a new year.
π΅About $6,500 was spent on Snack Carts throughout the year as well as the 'Farmers Market' themed Staff Appreciation Week.
These funds allowed us to keep our hardworking staff fueled, celebrated, and deeply supported from August all the way through to the final days of school. Thank you for helping us support the staff at Wekiva Elementary School!

If you plan to volunteer at Wekiva Elementary School (field day, class parties, library, etc...), chaperone field trips, help with PTA events, or support our amazing teachers and students, be sure to complete your application as soon as it becomes available.

Our PTA allocates over $11,000 that teachers can use to fund various classroom activities.
Some of the things teachers have used the funds for are:

ππ¨πWekiva PTA Gives Back
The Wekiva Elementary PTA raises money through membership, fundraisers and Spirit Nights. We use these funds to give back to the school. Because of your support the Wekiva PTA can support students reading. π
Some of the ways they do this is
π΅$4000 was allocated to the Library. They used their funds to purchase books for the media center.
π΅$4660 was spent on our Literacy Alive Program. These funds were used to purchase the book A Very, Very, Far North for every family at Wekiva. The funds were also used to purchase small rewards for taking the AR test, an Italian Ice Party and T-Shirts & Gift Cards to the Book Fair for Contest Winners.
π΅$160 was spent on birthday books. This program allows each student to get a free book and bookmark during their birthday month. Most of the books were donated.
