So far I have Summer, Elizabeth, JJ, Joseph, and Tracy riding in the parade? Anyone else want to ride??? Does anyone want to plan anything else?

There’s a pregame reunion at the school. Do y’all want to plan to do that? It’s $10/ticket for jambalaya dinners.

The HOCO parade will be Thursday, September 29th. I have a driver and a trailer lined up. Who wants to be on the float? You will need to provide your own throws/candy and you will not be allowed to have any guests (including spouse or children) ride with you. Parade starts at 6 and lineup is 5:15.

I was thinking we could just use the HOCO shirts the school will be selling and put “Class of ‘02” on the back but if y’all would like to order a different shirt design, we can do that instead. Just let me know.

Please let me know if you plan to ride in the parade by Friday, August 19th.

September 30th is our 20 year reunion! Would anyone like to be in charge of the festivities?

We will have a community parade and pep rally on Thursday, September 29th. Since it’s our 20th, we are one of the floats that is allowed to participate.

Hey, Class if ‘02! I need a favor! Mrs. Debbie Reeves (Laviolette) is retiring this year. Due to Covid 19, we have not been able to give her the proper send off. So, l am trying to find other ways to show our appreciation for her. She had mentioned to me that the only thing she would like is a memory book from her former students. If you were in her class, Junior Beta, or Rodeo please take a minute to share a story, picture, or word of encouragement with her. Many of us have had our own kids go through her class as well. Mrs. Reeves has been someone who has contributed to our school and community for 30+ years so let’s show her our appreciation. All you have to do is email [email protected]. I will print it out and have the memory book made.

We are hosting an alumni incrediball tournament on Saturday 9/29 at the rec. This is also homecoming. We need some people from our class to play! If you would like to play, let me know. Please share this with anyone from our class.

I have had lots of people ask me for SB shirts so we are doing Homecoming shirts this year! These are available to anyone...alumni, current students, or just the general public. Students are not allowed to wear these to school except during homecoming spirit days. Message me if you want one of these. Preorders will only be accepted until Friday at 3. After that, it is first come, first serve and you pay when they come in. They will be $10 for youth sizes-adult xlarge and $12 for 2x-3x.

Our homecoming theme this year is "Laissez les bon KNIGHTS rouler". We hope to see everyone at the gumbo and the game in their shirts!

Homecoming gumbo tickets are on sale now! Tickets must be purchased in advance. They are $7.00 and include a bowl of gumbo and potato salad. You can eat in the cafeteria or take it to go. Serving before the game from 4pm-6pm Friday, September 22! Please let me know if you would like a ticket!

Some people have contacted me asking if we are doing anything for our 15 year reunion.

SBHS Student Council now hosts a gumbo dinner before the game from 4-6 in the cafeteria for all alumni and people in the community. This is a great opportunity for graduating classes to meet up without having to spend a lot of money. Tickets must be purchased in advance. You can't buy them at the door. If you would like to purchase tickets for you and/or your family, contact me at [email protected] or private message me. It is $7/ticket and that includes gumbo and potato salad.

We are looking at doing an alumni reunion event after the football game for all classes. More details to come if that works out.

We will be meeting before the homecoming game at 6pm in the library at SBHS on September 21st. A social will be planned for Saturday, September 22nd. More details will be given when we meet on the 21st.

Homecoming is September 21st. We can all meet in the library at SB then go to the game Friday night. Saturday night whoever want to can all go out to eat. Reservations will be made later.
