Pine Tree ISD Gifted/Talented

In November, the fourth grade, gifted and talented pull-up classes at both Parkway and Birch submitted an entry for the robotic design competition. There are many different components to the competition, but pine tree came home with three different awards Parkway, with their moonlight mechanic entry, came home with a second place and third place award for different components Birch with the entry of solar flow, came home with a second place award. Our fourth grade, gifted and talented kiddos worked very hard in the fall on these entries, and I am so proud of what they were able to accomplish.

Passion Projects at Birch Elementary to take us to the end of the school year!

As part of GT awareness Week, Pine Tree hosted a GT family night designed to give families an authentic experience of what learning looks like in the GT classroom. Participants engaged in a four parts structure, consisting of a warm-up, challenge, showcase, and reflection. The event was very well attended and filled with fun, meaningful learning experiences. Thank you to all of the families who took time out of their busy spring schedules to join us and support this special evening!

Just a reminder that this Thursday is GT Family Night for grades 1-4. Come grab a hotdog and enjoy using your creativity and imagination to solve a challenge with your family. You can also get a peek at our robotic projects. I hope to see you there.

Just a reminder of the New to GT Parent Meeting for 1st grade and above on Tuesday February 3, 2026 starting at 5:30pm.
Kinder GT selections will be in February and a separate New to GT Kinder Parent Meeting will take place mid-February. Stay tuned for information regarding the date and time.
