One in four children in East Texas struggles with food insecurity. Spring Hill's Backpack Program addresses this critical need by discreetly providing weekend meals to these students and their siblings at just $3.55 per bag, ensuring that no child goes hungry when school is out of session.
This program operates entirely through fundraisers and the generosity of donors, with no tax payer, school, or government funding. Each week, our life skills classroom students prepare and deliver these backpacks, making this initiative a true example of our community caring for its own.
This holiday season, consider donating or sponsoring a child for a year (approx $140) in honor of a friend or family member. Your gift provides more than food—it offers dignity, hope, and the foundation children need to succeed in school and life.
