Well, for the better part of 10 years the ole Savage Arms 110 tactical in .308 ran well in its factory stock weighing in at 12.2 lbs.
I’ve had great success with it out to 842 yards w/ Federal Premium GMM SMK 175 gr using the Hawke Sidewinder 30 FFP 6-24x56 and SilencerCo Omega with very accurate DOPE.
Recently I put it in a MDT Sporting Goods LSS Gen 3 Chasis.
Dropped in a 13-18 oz. Straight profile JARD, Inc.
And… put it on a Tricer RP bipod & Cole-TAC bags.
The first 5 for 5 at 200, 250, 300, 350, & 400 yards were spot on and surprisingly enough I didn’t have to change my dope after dropping it in the Chasis & adding the Trigger System.
My first impression from my range day, today. Now, weighing in at 17.2 lbs, the upgrade to the Chasis, Trigger, Bipod & Bags made this setup so much more stable, easier to stay on target after the break, and a noticeable increase in precision on targets at distance. It truly is a precision setup, now.
Super excited to start Coyote & Hog hunting with it at distance; as well as, shooting Steel out to 880, which has been the goal all along.
My buddy LG is trying to get me to go shoot a steel match. We’ll see ?!
