Statement Regarding Discontinuation of Services

At our daycare, children are not “kicked out” because of their behavior or because they are difficult. We understand that children are still learning, growing, and developing, and we work hard to support them with patience, consistency, and compassion.

When services are discontinued, it is not because we have given up on a child. In some situations, the decision becomes necessary because of a parent’s refusal to acknowledge or address concerns regarding their child, an unwillingness to work cooperatively with the daycare, or behavior and actions by the parent that make it difficult to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment.

Our responsibility is to do what is best for the child, the other children in our care, and our staff. We will always communicate concerns with parents and make every reasonable effort to work together.

Please understand: It is never the child who is being rejected. When services must be discontinued, the decision is based on the circumstances surrounding the family and the ability to maintain a healthy and respectful partnership—not on the child.
