HOMECOMING 2026, YOU WERE A BLAST! 🏈

What a week! It started with dress-up days that had the halls looking wild, built up to a good ol’ tailgate full of food, friends, and school spirit, then came a big football win over Trinity. We capped it all off with a spectacular homecoming dance on Friday night.

Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community for packing the stands and showing up in a big way. This is what Sentinel spirit looks like! 💙

Students of Our Community Who Make a Difference – Clark Medin, Emily Wilcox, and Benjamin Wesley

Texas Bank and Trust celebrates the forty-ninth anniversary of the Longview Student Board of Directors, recognizing outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to community service. We are proud to introduce the following members of the 2026-2027 Student Board.

Clark Medin, son of Sarah and Tim Medin, is a senior at Pine Tree High School. He is a member of the ArtsView Children’s Theater Youth Council, Distributive Education Clubs of America, PALS, BUCS, and the golf team. Clark believes he is impacting the world by serving with his church on mission trips and in his community. Clark plans to attend Liberty University and study aeronautics. His future goals include becoming a commercial pilot.

Emily Wilcox, daughter of Tricha and David Wilcox, is a senior at Trinity School of Texas. She serves as a student representative for the Longview Museum of Fine Arts and senior class prom coordinator. Emily is also a member of Z-Club, a school service organization sponsored by the Zonta Club of Longview. She believes she is impacting the world by organizing a student board to increase involvement for Longview Community Ministries. Emily plans to attend the University of Arkansas and study interior architecture and design. Her future goals include creating her own interior design company.

Benjamin Wesley, son of Huilan and Curtis Wesley, is a senior at Christian Heritage Classical School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the varsity tennis team. Benjamin is also a recipient of the Humanities Scholarship award. He believes he is impacting the world by using his creativity to help others. Benjamin plans to attend The University of Texas at Austin and study architecture. His future goals include designing pieces that foster connections and bring people together.

Watchmen Wednesday 💙

Yesterday was Watchmen Wednesday, and what a joy it was to have our dads in the building! It’s a day for dads to spend time at school, teaching and assisting in their child’s classroom, and we loved seeing them show up for their kids.

A special shout-out to our Grandmother Watchmen Wednesday volunteer, Shelly Latham! She spent the day helping and made a treat bag for every dad. Thank you, Mrs. Latham, for your servant heart and for making our dads feel so appreciated! 🙌

Thank you to every dad who came, taught, and cheered on our students. We are so grateful for you! 🙏
