Oak Forest Montessori School Oak Forest Montessori School is an educational experience rather than a daycare service. This educational program fully incorporates the Montessori philosophy.

As a private school, we offer a year-round educational program designed to promote the physical, social, cognitive and emotional development of children. Oak Forest Montessori School is designed to fill the individual needs of children ages 8 weeks through kindergarten. The school is modeled after what Dr. Maria Montessori called "the prepared environment", an environment which possesses order and

logic. These first years of school encourage a child's natural enthusiasm and love of learning. "Learning by doing", as called by Dr. Montessori, encourages practical applications and use of materials designed for that purpose. Children develop at their own pace and according to their own capabilities. Montessori methods and materials are used in all classrooms. We achieve our educational and social goals through one-on-one instruction, small group lessons and a variety of activities based on Montessori principles. Children are guided toward a state of self-direction. Oak Forest Montessori School provides before and after school care for our students as well as an after school program for elementary students from public school. This program provides children with a safe and happy environment where snacks are provided. Public school students can do homework and all children partake in planned activities, socializing with friends or just relaxing. We also offer a theme based, well planned, full day Summer Program.

Braided bread and cookie dough is BACK! Please consider supporting OFMS by purchasing some of these yummy treats!

They’re great to have for the holidays and/or last minute guests. All proceeds go back to support our amazing teachers, to purchase books for classrooms and much much more!

All of our students and teachers will be selling September 17th-September 25th. If you have a friend or family member associated with OFMS please check with them! Students/Classrooms receive rewards for most products sold. If not, you’re welcome to purchase through the page below.

Everything arrives frozen. Sellers will deliver once product is received. We expect delivery 2-3 weeks after the fundraiser closes on September 25th.

These treats are soooo good we have people reach out each year asking if we plan to sell!

OFMS PTO and OFMS want to thank Electricool for their support of our school! Electricool is owned by Dusty and Lindsay Beets. We are proud to have had the opportunity to be involved in the early education of both of their children, Kyler and Karlee, and to have their friendship!

A little background on Electricool and the owners…

Lindsay and Dusty are both east Texas natives and returned to the area after college.

Dusty is a master electrician and a licensed HVAC contractor with 19 years experience. He started Beets Energy Services in 2017, but only had time to do it on the side here and there. In 2020, he decided to make it his full-time job. Beets Energy was rebranded to Electricool to clarify services offered.

Lindsay is an active participant in the PTO and has 19 years of teaching elementary school.

Please consider Dusty and team for all of your electrical/HVAC needs, you won’t be disappointed!

Again, we appreciate their support of the OFMS community and know you will be well taken care of should you choose to utilize their services!

Looking for a delicious meal, date night, exceptional restaurant with amazing food?!?!? Go to Jack Ryan’s in Kilgore. They even cater to littles! Doesn’t get any better than that!

Wes and Brad Ebey are Longview natives that offer top notch dining in Kilgore! Even better, they support their local community!

With the help of Jack Ryan’s the OFMS PTO raised over $9000 in their raffle.

We are so grateful to have their support, to have had the opportunity to be a part of the early education of THE JACK RYAN, and of course, their continued friendship.

OFMS wants to thank SWIM WITH GINA for supporting our school and the OFMS PTO!

With Gina’s support the PTO raised over $9000 in their raffle.

Gina and team are fantastic! If you have a child in need of swim lessons don’t hesitate. My daughter Charlotte has taken lessons with Gina over the years and we couldn’t be more pleased with her progress.
