💙 Welcome Our New Athletic Directors! 💙

St. Mary’s Catholic School is excited to announce our new Athletic Directors, Kaylah Stoker and Garrett Thibodeaux!

Together, Coach Stoker and Coach Thibodeaux bring a passion for athletics, faith, leadership, and student development. Their vision extends beyond wins and losses—they are committed to helping our students grow as athletes, leaders, teammates, and disciples of Christ.

🏐 Coach Kaylah Stoker

Coach Kaylah is passionate about creating a positive athletic culture where hard work, discipline, sportsmanship, and Christian values are emphasized every day.

“Sports help build character, not just athletes.”

She looks forward to mentoring young athletes, encouraging school pride, and creating meaningful experiences that students will remember for years to come.

Her favorite quote:

“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best.”
— Tim Duncan

🏈 Coach Garrett Thibodeaux

Coach Thibodeaux is excited to help build a strong athletic program rooted in discipline, humility, accountability, and faith.

“Every child needs a champion.”
— Rita Pierson

As a coach, teacher, mentor, and role model, he is committed to helping students navigate challenges both on and off the field while becoming strong Christian leaders.

His favorite Scripture:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
— Joshua 1:9

Please join us in congratulating Coach Kaylah and Coach Thibodeaux as they begin this new chapter leading St. Mary’s Athletics!

🏀💙 Thank You, Coach Ronnie Raines 💙🏀

Today we celebrate and thank Coach Ronnie Raines for the dedication, leadership, and heart he has shared with St. Mary’s Catholic School over the past several years.

Whether he was encouraging our athletes from the sidelines, celebrating their achievements, teaching life lessons through sports, or simply being a positive presence on campus, Coach Raines has made a lasting impact on countless students and families.

His commitment to our mission and his love for our Knights have helped shape not only stronger athletes, but stronger young men and women.

As he returns to Athens, we send our gratitude, prayers, and best wishes for the journey ahead.

“Whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.”

As they begin this incredible journey, we ask our St. Mary’s family to join us in praying for safe travels, meaningful experiences, and unforgettable memories. May God watch over our students, teachers, and chaperones as they explore the history, leadership, and sacrifice that have shaped our nation.

A special thank you to EF Tours for helping make this educational adventure possible and for providing our students with an opportunity to learn far beyond the classroom walls.

✨ End-of-Year Highlights ✨

One of our favorite memories from the final weeks of school was this hands-on art project in Mrs. Leach’s classroom. Students rolled up their sleeves, got a little messy, and transformed simple materials into beautiful works of art.

These moments remind us that learning isn’t always found in a textbook. Sometimes it’s found in creativity, collaboration, curiosity, and the joy of making something with your own hands.

Thank you, Mrs. Leach, for helping our students discover the beauty of art and the value of the creative process.

And just like that… the 2025–2026 school year has come to an end. 💙💛

Today, our St. Mary’s Knights celebrated the last day of school with one final Mass together and an unforgettable Field Day full of laughter, teamwork, and memories we will never forget. ☀️⚔️

During our final Mass, Father Dower recognized and gifted acolyte, Jerome Stavinoha, pianist Anna Song Saunders, and cantor Mark Evans in gratitude for faithfully serving and leading our school community throughout the year during morning gatherings and Masses. We are so thankful for the gifts they shared with St. Mary’s this year. ✝️

We jump-started the day by celebrating the winners of our American Heart Association competition — and the winning students even got the chance to pie Coach Thibodeaux and Coach Kaylah in the face! ❤️🥧

Students proudly wore the tie-dye shirts they made in art class as they competed in tug-o-war, egg and spoon races, water duck-duck-goose, sponge over head relays, pop the balloon, water balloons, dance parties, and so much more! Of course, no Field Day would be complete without Kona Ice to cool everyone off. 🍧

Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of another incredible school year and for the friendships, growth, and memories made along the way. We are so proud of our Knights and thankful for our teachers, staff, and families who made this year so special.

Have a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer, Knights! 💙💛
