🎭 Learning beyond the classroom!

Over the last two days, we had the opportunity to take 70+ theatre students to Kilgore College to experience their production of Sleepy Hollow and participate in a special talkback session with the cast and crew!

Experiences like these are such an important part of theatre education. Seeing live theatre allows our students to experience storytelling, acting, technical elements, and creative choices in action, while the talkback gives them the chance to ask questions, learn about the artistic process, and connect with the people who bring a production to life.

A huge thank you to Kilgore College and the cast and crew of Sleepy Hollow for welcoming our students and sharing your time, talent, and knowledge with us! These are the kinds of experiences that inspire young artists, spark curiosity, and remind us why we do what we do. 💚

Longview High School’s HOSA Future Health Professionals has been busy developing student leaders and representing LHS beyond our campus!

In August, Ezequiel Pascual-Mata attended the Texas HOSA Leadership Development Institute in San Antonio, where he prepared alongside his Area 3 leadership team for the 2026–2027 school year. Ezequiel has the honor of serving as Texas HOSA Area 3 President, representing more than 10,000 HOSA members across Area 3. This is an outstanding leadership achievement and an exciting opportunity for him to serve students throughout the area.

In September, Ezequiel continued his leadership journey by attending the HOSA Washington Leadership Academy in Washington, D.C. He joined more than 500 HOSA student leaders representing chapters from across the United States and internationally for leadership development, networking, and opportunities to strengthen their impact within HOSA and their communities.

We are proud to have Ezequiel representing Longview High School, Longview ISD, and Texas HOSA on the area and national stage.

And the leadership doesn’t stop there—Longview High School HOSA has much more to share! 🩺💙

We had a great Hispanic Heritage Celebration this morning at Longview High School 🎉🥳! The building was full of joy.

Our students wore beautiful quinceañera dresses, played music, sang, danced, and we even had a mariachi band in the house.
