Today marks the USA’s 250th anniversary and declaration of freedom from Great Britain. Yet the battle for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness continues. We remember our past so that we can build a better future. America is not free until we are all free. Let freedom ring.

🏛️ Alpha Phi Alpha: The Brotherhood That Changed History ✨
Founded in 1906 at Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Phi Alpha became the first intercollegiate Black Greek-letter fraternity in American history. 🎓🖤 Created by visionary African American students at Cornell University during a time of intense racial discrimination, the fraternity stood as a powerful symbol of unity, education, leadership, and perseverance. ✊🏾📚
The organization was founded on December 4, 1906, by seven pioneering men known today as the “Jewels.” 💎 Their mission was greater than brotherhood alone — they wanted to uplift Black communities through scholarship, civil rights advocacy, leadership, and service. 🌍🔥 At a time when opportunities for African Americans were limited, Alpha Phi Alpha created a network of support that inspired generations to pursue excellence despite adversity.
Throughout history, the fraternity has included many influential leaders, including Martin Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall, and W. E. B. Du Bois. 🕊️⚖️ Their impact helped shape the Civil Rights Movement and modern Black leadership across America.
More than a fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha became a movement dedicated to Brotherhood, Scholarship, and the advancement of Black Excellence. 🏆🖤 Over a century later, its legacy continues to inspire millions around the world.
