Great explanation on why this bond will NOT raise your taxes!

How can the bond happen with no tax rate increase? Here’s the simple answer:

Over time, the district has been paying down debt from previous bonds.

Because of that, they’ve created capacity within the current tax rate to take care of new needs.

👉 That’s why this bond does not require a tax rate increase.

This is also a reflection of responsible financial management. The district has managed funds well, making steady progress on existing debt so they can continue improving schools 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐱 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞.

It’s similar to paying down a loan—once that balance decreases, it creates room to address new needs.

Bottom line:
✔️ Existing debt has been reduced
✔️ Capacity has been created
✔️ The tax rate remains the same

That’s what thoughtful, long-term planning looks like.

🎉 Maintenance Appreciation Day 🎉

Today we celebrate the incredible Spring Hill ISD Maintenance Team who work behind the scenes every day to keep our schools safe, clean, and running smoothly.

These individuals care for the buildings and spaces where our students learn, compete, and grow. From repairs to ensuring safety compliance, their work supports every student and teacher in the district.

Many of the projects included in the 2026 Spring Hill ISD Bond Proposal focus on maintaining and improving the very facilities this team cares for every day.

Thank you to our maintenance staff for the pride you take in serving our schools and our community.

Spring Hill ISD Board of Trustees recently approved calling a bond election for facility maintenance and improvements totaling $20 million that will be presented to voters this May.

The bond package consists of three separate propositions in accordance with state law. These propositions are designed to address educational and extracurricular facility needs.
