Building a Stronger Future 🐴
Across Colorado, horse owners are facing increasing challenges and limited options for rehoming, emergency assistance, and end-of-life care.
To meet these growing needs, Colorado Horse Rescue has adopted a new strategic plan focused on expanding horse rescue, owner support programs, education, and innovative equine welfare solutions.
“The future for horses isn’t something that happens by chance. It is shaped – intentionally, thoughtfully, and collectively – by the choices we make today.” Katherine Gregory, CEO
CHR’s Top Priorities:
💙 Rescue & Response — expanding our ability to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome, and support owners before a crisis happens.
💙 Innovation & Growth — growing programs like Leg Up, HorseAlert, The Annie Project, and Compassionate Endings to create more pathways to safety.
💙 Education & Leadership — sharing knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and helping raise the standard of care for horses across Colorado and beyond.
This strategic plan is built on the belief that real, lasting change happens when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Every supporter, volunteer, and partner plays a role in bringing this vision to life.
