What a fantastic Music Festival we had yesterday at Alpine! Our community showed up to connect with one another and celebrate the talent of our students.

Alpine's Got Talent was a smashing success on Friday. The audience was entertained through a puppet show, gymnastics, ASL, vocal, and instrumental performances. Each act brought something unique, showcasing the incredible talent within the community. It was a night to remember, filled with applause and appreciation for all the participants.

Congratulations to Daisy Wence, Alpine Elementary Teacher of the Year. Daisy’s passion for education goes beyond the curriculum. She understands that a student cannot learn if they do not first feel safe and valued. By investing time in their personal stories and unique backgrounds, she ensures every individual feels seen and heard. Whether it’s a quiet word of encouragement in the hallway or a special lesson plan that reflects a student’s specific interests, Daisy works tirelessly to bridge the gap between instruction and inspiration. She is a fabulous educator and we’re grateful she’s on our team.

Alpine K-5 students delighted the audience last week with their mini-musical at Skyline High School. They showcased their talents by singing, dancing, acting, and playing the drums, captivating a full house.

Honored to recognize retired Marine Cpl. Scott Harrison at our Celebration today! 🇺🇸 Scott built Nederland's Carousel of Happiness and his inspiring story was recently featured on CBS On the Road with Steve Hartman. Scott gifted our school with a carved dove. Thank you Mr. Hora for the invitation!

We were honored to celebrate our heroes today with a special assembly, a heartwarming breakfast, and inspiring classroom talks. Our students loved singing patriotic songs to express their gratitude! Thank you to all who serve and sacrifice.

Alpine's after-school clubs are buzzing with activity on Wednesdays. The Cooking Club crafted fruit creatures, while the STEM Building Club took on the role of budding architects. Meanwhile, the Cultura Club shaped clay dishes, and the 4-H group conducted experiments with soda bottles. It's inspiring to see so many students engaged outside of regular school hours.

A few of our Alpine Fifth Graders represented so well at the SVVSD Elementary Choral Festival last week. The performance showcased the strength of music in our schools through lively and engaging songs. Our students are so talented.

October was such a fun month at Alpine Elementary. We loved seeing the community out to support students at our Annual Monster Mash and Halloween Promenade.

We were incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to listen to Newberry Honor author, Ingrid Law, as she shared her inspiring journey as a writer with our students. Her insights into her books, "Savvy" and "You Are Not Alone," were truly enlightening. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the AEPTO for making this special event possible.
