Our 4th graders are diving headfirst into our newest Unit of Inquiry: Form Follows Function! 🔍

Throughout this unit, our young scientists are investigating the amazing design behind human, animal, and plant structures—discovering how every shape, texture, and physical feature serves a vital purpose for survival and growth. As true IB Inquirers, students are making connections across living systems, asking big questions, and analyzing how nature solves complex problems!

Taking math to the 3rd Dimension-Spatial Math. These leveled and ever-advancing games not only help children manipulate objects through space, they also help problem solving and building grit. Who says math class has to be quiet?

Our 5th graders are officially hooked on "Stand Up Math"!

Here’s how it works: students jump up, team up, and tackle a series of increasingly wild math challenges at the vertical whiteboards. The rule? No secret strategies allowed! Everyone has to speak their math mind, talk through their steps, and actively teach their teammates as the problems get tougher.

Seeing them cheer each other on, debate strategies, and light up when a tough problem finally clicks is incredible. They aren't just memorizing formulas—they are becoming math coaches and collaborative problem-solvers!

🌲 What an incredible, action-packed time our 5th graders had at Cal-Wood in Jamestown! 🏔️✨

Our young scientists stepped out of the classroom and straight into the mountain air to explore living ecosystems up close. From tracking local wildlife signs and studying native pine trees to learning how all parts of the mountain work together, their energy and curiosity were through the roof! 🦅🌲

Our second graders kicked off math with a Solve and Share from our enVision Math curriculum! Before any instruction, students tackled a real-world problem all on their own, thinking, drawing, and explaining their strategies with partners. 💪

The best part? There's more than one way to solve a problem, and our mathematicians proved it today! Ask your child tonight: "How did YOU solve it?" — you might be amazed by their thinking! 🧠✨
