Serving students in grades 5th - 8th, Longs Peak is a small school with BIG opportunities! From engaging academics and exciting electives to clubs, athletics, and a welcoming community where students are known and supported, there is so much to discover at the Peak.

Science in action! Our 6th graders are putting their engineering skills to work as they design and build solar ovens! Students are exploring how solar energy can be captured and transferred, then will test their designs to see which ovens can harness the most heat. We love seeing their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in action!

Real-world learning in action! Our 8th grade Gateway to STEM students spent time learning essential CPR, AED, and first aid skills from EMT students at CETC. We love seeing our Rams gain hands-on skills, learn from other students, and explore opportunities that connect classroom learning to the real world!

Learning beyond the classrooms! Our Wildlife Rangers split into teams to practice identifying local animal species and gain hands-on experience analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data. Then they took their learning into the field with a trip to Lykins Gulch! We love seeing our Rams explore, collaborate, and apply their learning in the real world!

Learning in action! Our Rams are thinking like readers as they compare and contrast settings across two texts using Thinking Maps. Students are organizing their thinking, making connections, and deepening their understanding of what they read.
