DROP IN CARE now offered again.
Hi Families,
I have been providing limited childcare these last few months and I am now offering drop in childcare again. We are following CDC guidelines, wear a mask in public, and my husband (teacher) and I are also both fully vaccinated against Covid 19.
I upgraded to a minivan and have the capability of school transportation based on availability, locations, and times. We have moved to NE Longmont.
Let me know if you need any last minute care or need regular care. April is pretty full, but May I open up a bit, and then even more in June.

Kaikoa Childcare Services
I am currently accepting families for a waitlist for care.
Currently I have availability beginning May 1st.
We are taking covid seriously and looking for similar families.
Currently with Covid I am only working with one or two families at a time never exceeding a ratio of four children.
I follow the same sick policy as the childcare centers, which has continued to work well in preventing exposures. Located in NE Longmont. I have two little boys who will be 3.5 and 1 year at the end of this school year.
Reach out to [email protected] and I will reply with an introduction email including resume, references, letters of recommendation, substitute teaching licensure certification where I underwent background checks and finger printing, as well as a video tour of our home. Hannahmatje.weebly.com also offers information on my background and beliefs.
I've worked in childcare for over 10 years. I am looking for one full time family or two part time families to provide care for in our NW Longmont home. I include lunch and snacks. I have a 2. 5-year-old and a 3-month-old.
We would conduct fever checks and hope to find a family taking social distancing precautions, wearing a mask in public, and has minimal to a small group of the same regular contacts. We are only seeing grandparents and my toddler is in a small (under 10 kids) preschool twice a week in the morning.
Starting rates are $12/hr and I can provide transportation to areas within 30 minutes of Longmont for a daily charge of $10/day for one way or $20/day for both pick up and drop off. I am set up as self employed and provide a statement with the amount spent so you can claim on your taxes if you want.

Hi Families,
In preparation with Coronavirus I WILL continue to offer care through the end of the month for as long as schools remain open. HOWEVER, I am not accepting new bookings or drop in care and limiting care to only those enrolled and prepaid for the remainder of the month.
Many schools and centers are talking about closing after Spring break or moving to online formats. Universities have already started to do this beginning as early as next week.
If this happens I will be following these same guidelines and it will be considered to be covered under my 2020 sick policy (found on website) and refunds aren’t issued for sick care as I prepare and plan/ buy supplies at the beginning of each month.
I specifically will be following updates from Adams 12 School District as this is my husbands District (but also will close if SVVSD or BVSD decides to close as that means our home Cory will be seeing an increase of cases) if he is working remotely from home we are going to follow suit to minimize exposure risk as I get to the final weeks of pregnancy and ensure no one is exhibiting cold or flu symptoms that could prevent them from attending my birth specifically my husband or Kai.
At the moment my husband tested negative for flu, but is exhibiting cold like symptoms, so until they go away he is not eligible to be present at the hospital if I went into labor early, or at my ultrasound tomorrow he technically wouldn’t meet the visitor guidelines.
My sick policy is also strictly enforced for the remainder of the month. If your child is sick or your family is exhibiting symptoms do not send your child, they will not be able to stay and could result in early termination of your last
month of care, which I hate even to write that but as we have reached a Panasonic and ten new cases have updated just in the last eight hours it’s important we take it seriously.
I have a house cleaning service that comes once monthly and I’m ensuring to spray down the entire main level kids had access to daily to help prevent germs. Keeping windows open weather permitting, and we have our backyard set up for ample outside time to help as well.
Prevention Tips::
I personally have Kai on a toddler multivitamin and probiotic but Smarty Pants. We also use the on guard essential oil roller by do Terra on bottoms of feet and spine at night. Lots of fluids and daily elderberry syrup for kids, although you also can make it and I have a recipe for it if anyone would like a copy. We use coconut oil after baths which has “Medium-chain fatty acid constituents of coconut oil including lauric acid, capric acid, and others provide antimicrobial effect by disrupting bacterial, fungal, and viral cell membranes, leading to cell death.” These are some of the ways we are able to take procaution, be noninvasive and easy to implement into daily routine.
Avoid hospitals, clinics, ER. Ian did his flu test at The Little Clinic inside of King Soopers in Erie to minimize exposure to others we made an appointment online it was $125 self pay so a great option to avoid bigger facilities that have patients with flu or Coronavirus.
Currently, Longmont United Hospital has a patient quarantined as they wait to see if they test positive for Coronavirus.
I hope everyone understands, and we may make it through the end of March just fine, but families should be aware that after spring break (March 28th) it’s a solid possibility that schools will be shut down.
Stay safe, wash your hands, avoid contact with those who have traveled to infected areas or via plane. I hope to see everyone this upcoming week and that we can just finish out the month illness free!
March Care!
I have a limited amount of drop in spots as well as evenings available for March. I'd love to finish booking them up.
Beginning April 1st I will be taking maternity leave as we welcome our second little guy, Luca.
I anticipate resuming services in the Fall, if you would like to set up an interview to discuss care beginning in the Fall please send me a message and we can set something up.
All information, including rates can be found on my website hannahmatje.weebly.com I am offering a discount for a family who is searching for full-time infant care, please locate information under the "in-home childcare" tab.
Thank You!
Hannah
Hi Families!
For 2020 care will be resuming starting January 5th! A few changes as we move into the new year. Care will be provided for kiddos 18 months and above, if you have an infant I will accept on a case by case basis see below. Ratios are 4 kiddos or less including my own kiddos.
Tuition will be due on the 20th of each month for the upcoming month. For example January (01/05-01/31) tuition is due on December 20th.
Annual fee of $55 per child will be due on January tuition. This will help simplify.
Rates are changing slightly and will be moving to an hourly rate of $12/hr. For up to two children in the same family for regularly scheduled childcare. You will indicate the specific times you need as you do now in your enrollment sheet. (Example 7:15 to 3:15)
Snacks and meals will continue to be included if your time falls during meal times.
Breakfast 7:30am
Lunch 11am
I will also be including diapers, wipes, a cup, and change of clothes in the cost of care from now on to help minimize the back and forth and restocking.
If you have an infant rates increase to $14.50/hr for up to two children including one infant under 18 months. You will provide supplies meals/milk/bottles/changes of clothes during this time until they transition to water and table foods and beyond the spit up stage of multiple outfit changes between 12-18 months.
For additional children (sibling groups of 3+) or care for infants under 18 months please contact directly for a specific quote.
Vacation time is going to already be accounted for in the tuition rates as the local childcare centers do.
Drop in hours beyond regularly scheduled days days will be charged at $15/hr (3 hour minimum) for up to two children and due upon booking care to save your spot.
Any additional hours beyond your schedule time will be added to the next months tuition.. there will be a five minute grace in either direction after that it is just rounded to the next hour (Early drop off/late picks ups).
Late tuition will be charged a 20% fee starting the 21st of the month, and will incite a $10/day fee for each day there after, care will not be provided for the month tuition is late until it has been paid.
I will be closed three times in 2020 and you will not be charged during this time.
Maternity Leave Begins 04/01/2020 *Please Contact for Summer/Fall*
Thanksgiving 11/23-29th
Christmas 12/19-1/2/2
I have Saturday/Sunday/Monday availability January through April and then full availability starting in June. My teaching licensure will be completed Spring 2020 prior to resuming full availability in Summer.
As always I accept Venmo, Cash, and Apple Pay if paying in cash it’s a good idea to pay on your last day of care prior to tuition being due to avoid late fees and ensure it’s received, otherwise it’s your responsibility to make sure it’s paid on time during operating hours as with any business or bill hours do vary by day so do contact me to avoid coming by and no one being home. :)
I am working on invoices for families who received care in 2019, and will have then completed by December 19th 2019 so you are able to know what was paid in 2019 and claim on your taxes if you choose.
All new policies effective 12/20/2019.
In your home, I do childcare in your home based on availability and have reduced my rates for in home care to reflect bringing my own kiddos along. (Prior to having children I ranged between $20-25/hr)
Nanny rates in your home:
$16/hr up to two kiddos (siblings)
Add $2/hr per kiddo under 18 months.
$1/hr per additional kiddo exceeding two.
