What a great first week!

We loved kicking off the 2026–2027 school year with our Supply Drop-Off Night, and what an amazing turnout we had!

It was so wonderful to see so many of our families back in the building, reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new ones, and feel the excitement for the year ahead.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a great start to the school year.

BREAKING NEWS from Mrs. Davidson’s classroom!

Students recently became reporters for the day during a classroom press conference, complete with questions, introductions, and some very creative news agencies.

While the activity brought plenty of laughs, students also got to learn a little more about Mrs. Davidson. She shared that she is there to help them succeed and reminded them not to be afraid to ask questions when they need help.

And one more important piece of breaking news… Mrs. Davidson is a big Sesame Street fan!

A fun way to build confidence, practice speaking skills, and help students get to know their teacher a little better.

We spotted some familiar faces in Mead High School’s Freshman Jump Start! Several of the students pictured are Firestone Charter Academy alumni, and we love getting to see our former Pumas beginning their next chapter.

As a new school year begins, we want to wish all of our FCA alumni a wonderful first day of school and an amazing year ahead. Whether you’re starting high school, heading into another grade, or beginning a whole new adventure, we’re cheering you on!

Our staff is ready, the halls are ready, and Puma is ready too!

We’ve been getting everything set for a brand-new school year, and now we’re just missing one thing… our students.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to FCA and see those smiling faces coming through the doors!

We gave our new teachers a proper FCA welcome with a little ribbon cutting ceremony outside their classrooms!

It was a fun way to celebrate their new spaces, welcome them to the team, and officially get those classroom doors ready for the year ahead.

Did you know?

Each graduating 8th grade class at FCA leaves a little piece of its story behind in the 8th grade hallway.

Throughout the year, students help raise money through their 8th grade dance. That funding helps cover the cost of their class mural and the supplies needed to create it. The class then comes up with different concepts, votes on the design they feel represents them best, and after final approval, Mr. Mark Hubbard brings it to life over the summer.

Mr. Carnahan has shared that each mural captures the chemistry and culture of that class so well that he can often tell which graduating class it belongs to just by looking at it.

The current murals represent the Classes of 2025 and 2026.

When you come to Back to School Night, take a walk through the 8th grade hallway and check them out. You may notice just how different each class has left its mark on FCA.
