A Taste of Shakespeare

April 23rd is William Shakespeare's birthday! Celebrate with us for our Spring Shakeshop! A Shakeshop is a free monologue workshop brought to you by Taste of Shakespeare. Bring a piece you've been preparing, do a cold read, or just watch and enjoy! In honor of Shakespeare's birthday, we will be reading some scenes from our upcoming summer 2026 scene show "Shakespeare's Baddies".

Announcing our next Skakeshop!!!

TCL is the new home of Taste of Shakespeare, and they are now bringing back their Shakeshops!

The Winter Shakeshop will be at Mira Vista Ranch (10881 Lookout Rd, Longmont, CO 80504) on Saturday, February 21 at 3 pm.

Shakeshops are perfect for trying out a monologue for an audition, meeting new local actors and theater people, and doing cold reads from scripts to improve your acting and cold reading skills! Whether you want to hone your Shakespeare skills or want to work on something more modern, these workshops include local directors and actors who will help you up your skills.

Dave Dahl will be hosting Shakeshops on Zoom this fall. September 17, October 15, November 12. None in December.

The plague that is Covid has descended upon Egypt, so this weekend’s performances in Boulder and Erie are cancelled. New performance dates will be posted if we are able to reschedule these two shows.

Currently, next weekend’s appearances at Theater Company of Lafayette (July 22 & 23 at 7:00 pm), and Roosevelt Park Rose Garden (July 24 at 2:00 pm) are still on.
