Nearly 20 years ago, while teaching math and physics at a liberal arts college, I saw firsthand how financial struggles affected my students. Many were away from home for the first time, unaware of how to manage their money, and it was taking a toll. One student even developed scurvy due to poor nutrition. ‌

Now, as we approach the 20th anniversary, you can join me in reworking and updating this book—while learning practical financial skills along the way!

It has been almost 20 years since Money...It's Not Just for Rich People! came out on Amazon. That was back in the day when Amazon just sold books! Now here we are about ready to hit another NaNoWriMo Month. Guess what I'm doing this year? Reworking this 20 year old book! Do you want to be a beta reader for me? I'll write. You'll read. 2 years ago this month 23 women met in Mead and decided to create a "Giving Circle" despite the blizzard that hit that evening. After 24 months we have collected over $21,000 and have given grants to 6+ organizations within the Longmont City Limits. Our focus? Food & Shelter opportunities. Was digging around in my sketchbook and found this old picture. Summer is such a delightful time for me. I love being able to go outside and only have to wear one layer of clothing and not have to strap spikes on my shoes to walk over ice. Summer allows me to have such freedom of movement and experience all the "life" that seems to burst from every possible corner. Enjoy your day today.

To my friends in "The Land Down Under" I stand in remembrance at Dawn smelling the rosemary on my lapel.

I do so love candy. I love sweet. I love rolling chocolate around in my mouth while sipping hot coffee. Today is a special day for many reasons. (spiritual, emotional, physical) but my mouth celebrates through the sensations of taste. Tomorrow the Easter candy will be 1/2 off. I'll be visiting the grocery store early!

Today may be Valentine's Day (Happy Singles Awareness Day!) But tomorrow is 1/2 price Candy Day. Anyone else going to buy themselves a dozen roses and their box of chocolates tomorrow or am I the only one who does that for myself?
